On Sunday, August 4, 2019, Joseph Quaranta, the best husband and father of four children passed away at the age of 79.

Joe was born in Huntington, West Virginia to a large Italian family. Dad often spoke of times living near the Ohio River with his parents and siblings. Joe graduated from Fairland high school before moving west to Arizona with his family.

Joe met his wife Carol at the historical honky-tonk ‘Mr. Lucky’s’. They were married on April 22, 1972. Joe was a phenomenal carpenter and could make anything from scratch. He not only executed perfection but demanded it, always saying “do it right the first time”.

Dad lived for his family, providing endless time and love. He not only coached our soccer teams but made sure to be present cheering on the sidelines. Most of all, Dad loved to fish. We ate countless Bass filets growing up. Dad was at peace most when camping lakeside with his best friend Chico.

Joe is survived by wife Carol, his four children, Deeann, Tony, Todd and Kim, his brothers Vince and Jim, and eight grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17th, 2019 at Regency Mortuary (9850 West Thunderbird Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351) at 10am. Flowers can be sent directly to the mortuary, or a donation can be made in Dad’s honor to Hospice of the Valley.

Cecilia Roulston

Condolences to the Joe Quaranta Family. I am Cecilia Kramer Roulston, first wife of Chico, and in love with the Quaranta family since they moved to Phoenix and sister, Connie, enrolled in my St. Mary's High School graduating class of 1960. We were all friends with Nancy Bowers and when we had our 1960 Class Senior Prom, we all met at Nancy's house for photos, that is Nancy and Joe, Connie and her boyfriend, Cecilia and Chico. In July of 1961, Cecilia and Chico were married at Ft. Huachuca and Connie was my Maid of Honor and Joe was Best Man for Chico. I was honored to know most of the Quaranta family, and treasure times spent at the American Italian Club and Greer, AZ. I send my heartfelt sympathy to Carol and their dear children, from myself, and Chico and my Kramer children, Teresa-Joseph-Paul-John Kramer.
