Larry, you have joined the Great "Heavenly Band" enjoy the gig and save me a seat as I look forward to playing in that group also!
Thanks for all you did for SDC and the encouragement that you gave to me and others to submit articles and photos for Turning Wheels. We will miss you, RIP.

Larry Swanson was one of my favorite percussionists to work with. Although he lived in Sun City West, he was was graciously willing to travel to the East Valley to perform with the Chandler Symphony Orchestra, Salt River Brass, and Scottsdale Symphony. He was a lovely, gracious person, and I feel fortunate to have known him. In many ways, I wish I had continued to live in the West Valley so that I could continue to play in percussion sections with him. I am sure he will be missed by many people.

I met Larry and Pat in 1968 when the Illinois Region Studebaker Driver's Club was just beginning. I could tell from their enthusiasm and event attendance that they would be significant contributors to the club. Pat, please accept my heart-felt condolences. Larry will always be in my memory and prayers. Bill Pienta
