Myrna Arline Jarvis (Witter), age 84 passed away on July 18, 2020 after a long battle with breast cancer.
Myrna was born on September 17, 1935 and was a member of the Eastern Star. After the man she loved dearly adopted her at a young age after her mom (Lillian) married, they moved where she could grow up on a farm in Cicero, Indiana. She loved the farm and what they called gravel pit where she would swim and go fishing. The farm housed 27 chickens, 6 sheep, 6 hogs, a Heifer named Daisy, a bull named Willy, 2 riding horses, 100 rabbits, several cats, dog named Pandy with 13 puppies.
Myrna married and had one son, Daniel (Dan)and two daughters, Cynthia (Cindy) and Venora (Deanie). While pregnant with Venora she divorced and moved out West to Arizona with her parents, son, daughter and unborn child to start a new life.
A couple years later she married Arthur Jarvis where they had one child together, a daughter Rebecca (Becky). Fourteen years later divorced and returned to Indiana where she met John Lowe and they moved back out West to Kingman, Arizona and purchased her dream home. John passed away in 2001 but Myrna remained in her dream home until suffering a stroke in 2014 at which time she moved to Black Canyon City, Arizona so she could be close to her family.
Myrna retired from AT&T. During retirement she volunteered on the suicide hot line, senior center, voting polls, and helping friends in need. She loved Laughlin where she made good friends and spent countless hours weekly while being devoted to the Riverside Resort and got the pleasure of knowing Don Laughlin personally. One of her greatest memories was Don flying his helicopter with her, Venora and Kibbee to show them his private bunker.
Myrna is survived by 3 children: Daniel (Karen), Venora (Kibbee), Rebecca (Brad), 15 grandkids, 24 great grandkids, and 12 great great grandkids.
Myrnas family extends a very special thank you to Canyon Hospice. The kindness, compassion, and love that was given to Myrna was precious and will forever be remembered. A special appreciation for her Chaplain (Marcos) and Nurse (Courtney) who made themselves available 24 hours a day not only for her but for the family.
