Obituary of Sarah Littlejohn

Sarah Littlejohn of Glendale, AZ passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 41 on Jan 1, 2023 after a long 3 1/2 year battle with cancer. Sarah was born on September 16, 1981 to Terri Mills and Bruce Littlejohn in Arlington, WA. Sarah graduated from Arlington High School in 1999. She went on to study AutoCad Drafting and Design at Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, AZ which led to her 16 year career as a CB Access Engineer at Cox Communications in the Phoenix area. Sarah met Ricardo Cardenas in 2013 and started dating a year later and they were a perfect match. They were married on 4/22/21. In 2018 Sarah and Ricardo welcomed their greatest accomplishment in life, their son Eli Antonio. Sarah liked to spend her time reading, doing puzzles, traveling, hiking, doing DIY projects, visiting farmer’s markets and spending time with her friends and family. Sarah loved nature and was always looking for her next beautiful hiking spot. She spent many years playing volleyball on indoor courts through middle and high school and made many friends in Phoenix playing on the outdoor courts. Sarah was also an avid lover of cats and dogs. She always offered to take in any animal who needed a rehoming. Sarah really enjoyed her job and the people she worked with. She was so hard working and dedicated. So much so that she tried her best to work as much as possible even when she was not feeling her best through her chemo visits and procedures over the past several years. She is survived and missed by her loving husband Ricardo Cardenas and son Eli of Glendale, AZ. She is also survived by her mother Terri Mills (Leroy) of Arlington, WA, Bruce Littlejohn of Camano Island, WA, and brother Jesse Littlejohn of Phoenix, AZ, as well as many extended family, friends, mentors, and co-workers she touched during her short life. A Celebration of Life will be held at Rio Vista Recreational Center in Peoria, AZ on Jan 23, 2023 at 11am.
