Obituary of Paul L Jeffers

Paul Leon Jeffers, 83, of Sun City, AZ, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 6th, 2022. Paul passed away with his loved ones by his side in his residence after a long battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Paul was born January 17, 1939 to Paul Leon Jeffers Sr. and Stella Francis (Hamilton) Jeffers in Kansas City, Missouri. Paul was united in marriage September 5, 1967 to Mary Elizabeth in Dallas, TX. He was a devoted husband for 54 years. They attended a variety of Christian churches through their years together and were involved at City of Grace in Scottsdale, AZ for the last 20 years. Paul graduated from Paseo High School and attended Park College. He worked as an Expeditor for over 30 years at General Motors in Kansas City, MO and retired in 1992. He then worked for 10 years with America West Airlines in Reservations. Paul so enjoyed the people in his life and always had a smile to share with kindness to everybody he knew. He really appreciated many types of music including Jazz, Classical, Gospel, Rock, and Blues. He enjoyed photography, especially of the people he loved, as well as scenery. All kinds of cars always drew his attention, and he really enjoyed keeping up with news and current events. Those left behind to cherish his beloved memory are his wife, Mary Elizabeth Jeffers of Sun City, AZ ; his son, Jon Michael Jeffers of Sun City, AZ; his granddaughter, Alexandria Leigh Jeffers of Leamington, ON, Canada; his sister, Linda Kay Jeffers of Washington, DC; his brother-in-law, Gary Jeffers of Gladstone, MO, his sister-in-law, Caroline Jeffers of Liberty, MO; many other family members as well as a host of friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul & Stella Jeffers, and his sister-in-law, Marlene (Jeffers)Chung. Memorial Service is 11 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church in Sun City, AZ. The family of Paul Jeffers would like to invite family and friends to an additional Celebration of Life service on Sunday, Sept 4th at 4pm at the Conference Room located in Holiday Inn Express & Suites-Kansas City Airport, 9550 NW Polo Dr, Kansas City, MO 64153. We hope all will come with a fond memory of Paul to share during this time. The family extends sincere gratitude to everyone who has taken time to pray for Paul and his family through this challenging time.
