Obituary of John Stewart

John M Stewart passed away peacefully at home on December 21, 2021 in his 86th year leaving behind his loving wife of 63 years, Dora (nee Hughes). Loving father to daughter Patricia (Colin) and son Derrick (Carrie). Proud Papa to grandchildren Sandy, Scott, Rachael, Grant (Alexandra), Alec (Lexi) and Erin and great-grandchildren Brooklyn and Aurora. A mechanical engineer, John emigrated from Scotland to the USA (Euclid, Ohio) in 1968 and spent 25 years working for Lincoln Electric before retiring in 1996 and moving to Sun City, AZ to enjoy his well deserved retirement. For many years, he was the National Umpire in Chief and a fierce competitor in the sport of lawn bowling. A Private family service will be held at a later date and cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of the Valley https://www.hov.org/donate/ or the Alzheimers Society.
