Betty: No one needs to tell you that Mark was a wonderful man as you got to experience that for 68 years together. I remember fondly how sad and lonely he was on the China trip he led when you injured yourself the night before the trip and you could not go along.

Betty and family,I am so sorry for your loss. I still remember when we rented your house on Hovey years and years ago while your family was abroad. And I recall seeing you and Mark at U-Club meetings and later at the Senior Center occasionally. I can understand why you moved outside Illinois for better weather and to be closer to your children and grandchildren.I know that no words can readily ease your pain but I hope that your memories of being married to Mark for 68 years will help to comfort you. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. -(A headstone in Ireland)With sincere sympathy.Kay Wilson

Betty and Family, Please accept our deepest condolences. Alan and I have fond memories of Mark and you, especially when you helped us prepare for Alan's Fulbright in Taiwan.
