Obituary of Kahren McClure

Kahren C. McClure passed away on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021. She is survived by her two daughters, Sheyna McClure and Hillery Bailey and her three grandchildren. Kahren grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and later attended NAU and ASU where she obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Elementary Education. Her years at NAU brought her lasting, cherished memories with her sorority sisters of Alpha Delta Pi, and the members of the Sig Tau Fraternity. She was a fabulous 1st and 2nd grade teacher, who positively impacted many young lives for 36+ years at Alta Vista Elementary School. Kahren took pleasure in mentoring countless new teachers and carried out the remainder of her career as a program coach. Her love and devotion for teaching extended once the grandchildren came along, as she never missed a teaching moment. After retirement, she took a number of vacations including – the Inner Passage of Alaska, the pride lands of Africa, the Great Wall of China and her favorite, the Galapagos Islands near South America. Kahren loved to travel, see new places, and learn about new cultures. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 13th, 2021 at 11 am at Heroes Regional Park, located at 83rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road. The park's address is 6101 N 83rd Avenue Glendale, AZ, just north of Bethany Home Road, Ramada #10.
