Obituary of Annette Clouse

Annette Marie (Aldrich) Clouse Annette Marie Clouse (69) of Peoria, Arizona, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2021, after a long, courageous battle with leukemia. The daughter of Evone M. Couturier and Eugene H. Aldrich, Annette was born in Traverse City, Michigan on July 3, 1952. She was a graduate of Traverse City Senior High School and Central Michigan University. On December 30, 1972, she married John Gary Clouse. In 1992 Annette and John moved their family to Flagstaff, Arizona, where she worked at Dillard’s as an associate and assistant sales manager for 19 years. Annette loved life and everyone she met. She adored her children and grandchildren and is also a beloved second-mom to many for whom she provided day care over the years. Annette was the embodiment of the love she held for the Lord. In addition to being a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend, Annette served others in many capacities and callings as a leader, guide, and councilor of children, youth, and adults. Annette’s love for her family was unlimited. She was an accomplished genealogist and family historian and served others in that capacity for years in local Family History Centers. She loved serving the Lord as both a patron and worker in the temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Annette was an avid reader and always had a book nearby. She enjoyed quilting and surprising family members and friends with her creations. With a fondness for travel and seeking new vistas, Annette particularly enjoyed taking trips with her best friend, Ann, to hike deserts, forests, and mountain trails. She colored our world with her beauty, kindness, and unfailing love. Annette was preceded in death by her father and is survived by her mother, her husband and their five children: Jessica (Reuben) Weinzinger, Julia (Gabe) Schmadel, Joshua (Sara) Clouse, Jenna (Jeffery) Anderson, and Jacqueline (David) Robles, and 20 grandchildren who adored her. She is also survived by her nine siblings: Larry (Judy), Gary, Tony, Patricia (Steve) Gravelyn, Susan, David, Mark, Barbara (Robert) Witkop, and John (Karen), and many nieces and nephews who also loved her dearly.
