Obituary of Dale Brandon

Dale Edward Brandon, 82, passed away on August 7, 2021 of Sun City, AZ. Dale was born in Cannonsburg, PA on September 22, 1938 to George Edward Leach and Mabel Elizabeth Pugh. He graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI in June 1965 with a bachelor of science, then graduated from the University of Michigan with a master of science in August 1966, then obtained his master’s in philosophy of oceanography in August 1967 from the University of Michigan, then got his PHD in philosophy from the University of Michigan in May 1970. Dale served 6 years in the navy, 4 years active and 2 in the reserves, which he served in operation of Mediterranean geological oceanographer. After his discharge he worked in the industry of science engineering as a geologist. Dale enjoyed traveling, boating, scuba diving, and most recently in state and national cowboy shooting championship matches which he obtained several awards. Dale is preceded in death by his parents, George & Mabel (Pugh) Leach, sister Virginia Castelnova and brother Lester P Gilbert. Graveside service at National Memorial Cemetery of AZ in Phoenix, AZ on August 13, 2021 @ 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in his honor to United Hospice of Sun City, AZ or the American Veterans Association.
