Obituary of Karen Gayle Cassidy

Karen Cassidy   74 passed quietly at her Sun City home on Monday, September 4.  Karen was born on November 8, 1948, in Coshocton, Ohio and spent many of her growing up years in Phoenix, Arizona. Karen graduated from Alhambra High School in 1966.  Her and her husband Jim moved to Arizona in 2008 from Milpitas, California to help care for her parents.

 

 

Karen is survived by her husband, Jim Cassidy (married 1997), Brother Dave Sciotto (Cindy), sister Janet Skelton (Dean), sons John Lake (Gina) and Trent Lake (Lisa), nephews Josh Sciotto (Amanda), James Skelton (Shannon), Clint Skelton, Nicholas Skelton, Emily Branco (Joe), and many great nieces and nephews, grandchildren Michael Lake, Lovely, Phil and John Carlo, Uncles Sam Sciotto and Harold Sciotto, cousins, Cindy Palin, Greg Miller (Anna), Tim Miller (Ayako)

Sam Sciotto (Lauren), Dina Scott (Brett).

 

 

Karen had a passion for many things, mainly her sheltie dogs, agility training and Elvis Presley.  She was a fun loving, kind and caring person to so many people. She truly enjoyed family gatherings, especially the annual ravioli making dinners, and all other celebrations.

 

Preceding her in death are her stepson Michael Cassidy, parents Betty and Bruce Sciotto, and nephew Adam Sciotto.

 

Visitation will be held from 3-4pm, with a service at 4pm, on Monday, September 11, at the Regency Mortuary, 9850 W Thunderbird Blvd, Sun City, AZ. Karen will be buried on September 15 in Freemont, California.
