

Obituary of Marienes Johnson
Marines was born in Chile on December 27, 1945. At a young age moved to Montreal to pursue a career in the airlines, she later moved to Toronto and became a fashion designer, but also was a flight attendant so she could fly to Chile as often as she liked to see her parents. She became a flight director with Air Canada, on a flight to Japan met her husband Neil, he was the pilot and they had an instant connection. They were married in White Rock in an intimate ceremony in 1991. She lived in many places, Chile, Peru, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Birch Bay and Arizona where she lived the final years of her life. She was full of life, extremely creative, loved cooking, painting, ceramics, dancing, fashion, making jewelry amongst other hobbies. Marienes was always smiling, singing and living life at its fullest.
She is survived by her husband Neil and her two children Paul and Monique, also her 3 stepchildren Heather, Kris and Trevor, siblings Lula and Sole. She is predeceased by her parents, mother Maria Ines in 1991 and father Dr. Nestor Contador in 2005, also her brothers Juan Paulo and Alberto. Neices and nephews Andres, Fran and Pepito.
