Obituary of Anna Mae Kloberdanz

Anna Mae Kloberdanz, age 84, of Sun City, AZ, peacefully passed away with her family by her side

on December 27, 2023. Born on May 17, 1939, in Denver, CO, to the late Minnie Lummie, she spent

her formative years in North Denver, affectionately known as Little ltaly at the time. Anna Mae was a

beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Anna Mae graduated from Annunciation High School in North Denver in 1957. During her high

school years, she worked at St Anthony's Hospital as a candy striper where she met the love of her

life, Lawrence Kloberdanz. On April 12th, 1958, in Denver, CO, Anna Mae married Lawrence

creating a bond that endured for over 65 years, evolving into a lifelong commitment filled with love

and dedication and most of all patience


Over the years, Anna Mae and Lawrence lived in Sterling, CO, and Denver, CO, before settling in

Arvada, CO. There, Anna Mae embraced her role as the heart and matriarch of the household where

she and Lawrence raised 5 children, fostering a warm atmosphere with family dinners around the

table and unforgettable family trips. Her family and home were embodied in her heart and soul.

An exceptional homemaker, Anna Mae instilled strong values, faith, and compassion in her family,

leading by example. Despite her aversion to driving, she never missed a sporting event, and always

had her children to every event on time, highlighting her unwavering support and commitment

Known for her kind and loving nature, Anna Mae's generosity and goodhearted spirit left an indelible

mark on the lives of those around her, though stubborn and hardheaded at times, her warmth was



Anna Mae had a passion for crossword puzzles, knitting, crocheting, swimming, and cooking. Her

countless hours spent challenging her mind and body, as well as creating beautiful Afghan

blankets, and perfecting her famous spaghetti sauce, reflected her love for these activities. She

found joy in the simple pleasures of life, appreciating the beauty in everyday moments

Anna Mae is survived by her devoted husband, Lawrence, and their children: Steve, Sharon, Sandra,

and Scott. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-

grandchildren. Anna Mae was preceded in death by her mother, Minnie, her siblings, Lucille and

Edward, and her beloved daughter, Stacey.


Anna Mae Kloberdanz will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her kind and loving spirit will

forever be remembered and cherished. May she rest in peace, leaving behind a legacy of love,

warmth, and enduring family bonds.

A memorial service for Anna Mae will be announced and held at a later date.
