Heather Lea (Pearce) Chakraborty

1971 – 2023

 

 

Heather L. Chakraborty, age 51, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on June 26, 2023, from Cervical Cancer, with her loving family by her side, and under the care of Hospice of the Valley.

 

She was born November 4, 1971, and was raised with her sister Macey, by their parents, Walter and Melody (Wentworth) Pearce, in Mason City, Iowa.

 

Heather is survived by her beloved husband, William (Will Stern), daughter Sarmila Rose Chakraborty, sister Macey Vasquez, and her children, Jackson and Malayna Vasquez (who referred to her as “Auntie Heather”).  She was also survived by numerous Sister and Brother-in-laws, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Extended Nieces and Nephews and Loyal Friends.

 

Heather will be remembered for her outgoing personality.  She was witty, always making others laugh.  She was loyal to her friend and had a dedicated and strong work ethic.

 

Heather’s family would like to recognize and thank Dr. Ivor Benjamin (Oncologist) and Dr. Justin Famosa (Radiation Oncologist) and their staff for their dedication and compassion in doing their best in her care.

 

She was also grateful to the people at her church for helping in numerous ways with her cancer journey.

 

A celebration of life service will be held for Heather on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 6:30 pm followed by light refreshments at the New Vision Center for Spiritual Living located at 18010 N Tatum Blvd., Phoenix, AZ  85032.  All are welcome.
