Obituary of Shirley Ann Puro

Our mother, Shirley Ann Puro, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2023, just 11 days after her 89th birthday. Shirley was a long-time Tacoma resident and was a member of the Tacoma First Presbyterian Church, then the University Place Presbyterian Church, and most recently the Desert Palms Presbyterian Church in Sun City West.

She is survived by her children Glenn Puro, Karen Dick, Sandy Ives and Jon Puro; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her brother, Gerald Smith of Texas. She was predeceased by her parents Glenn and Estel Smith; her husband, Leroy Puro; son Lee Owen Puro; and her brother Weldon Smith of Texas.
