Obituary of Philip D Delton

On August 25, 2023, less than a month after his 97th birthday, Philip D Delton passed from complications arising from a fall.  Philip is survived by his three children:  Mary Delton, Glenfield, NY; Jim Delton, Tempe, AZ and June Hanson (Anders), Cave Creek, AZ as well as his sister; Beverlee Judd, Sun City, AZ.  He is also survived by his grandson, Andrew Delton (Tess Robertson) of Long Island, NY and his granddaughter, Lindsey Delton (Ryan Liss) of Tempe, AZ.

 Phil was born on July 29,1926 in Troy, NY and moved to Phoenix in May 1953 with his wife and children.  Phil was a veteran of WWII as a tail gunner on the B-29 and was stationed on the Mariana Island of Tinian.  At the time he was there, the A-bomb squadron was also sent there.  One of his memories is that the area was fenced off and all outside personal were told to "STAY OUT" or be shot.  He was in the carpentry, construction and real estate business his entire life.
