Obituary of Betty Hope Mills

Betty, Hope Mills 1920–2023. Betty Hope Mills died November 20, 2023 after living 103 happy years. Betty was born in Lorain Ohio September 16, 1922 Fred Mills Stephenson and Ethel Matthias. She was preceded in death by her husband William Hope Mills her daughter Michelle Mills Poling and brothers George Mills Stephenson and Ralph L Stephenson she is survived by her niece Patricia S Minchen and nephew Gary Mills Stephenson. Betty was a lively lady who had a number of friends which she kept laughing with her many comments. She moved to Royal Oaks Lifetime Community and had a wonderful time and was well taken care of by the staff, especially Karen the activities Director and Hospice of the Valley A very special thank you goes to her “girls”- Carol Faunce, Bobbie Jackson, Laura Kennedy, Angelica Ortiz, Kelly Vallandingham, Maria Leyva and Dawn Martellaro all who became her family.

She was cremated on November 28,2023 and a celebration of life was held on December 1, 2023 with some family and friends. She will be buried with her husband and daughter and pet dog in the spring of 2024 at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Loraine, Ohio. In her memory, donations can be made to any local animal shelter and international groups for their protection and welfare of animals.
