He is survived by Roberta Leggio, his loving wife of 72 years, also of Fellowship Square; his loving daughters, Suzanne Conlin (Stephen) of Moultonborough, NH, Melissa Wilder (Richard) of Southport, NC, and Janine Katz (Ken) of Lancaster, SC.

Known as "Pop" to his grandchildren; Nicole Wilder Burnheimer (Josh) of Charlotte, NC, Stephen Conlin (Kelsea) of Londonderry, NH, Alison Wilder Miller (Josh) of Huntersville, NC, Sarah Conlin Wong (Jeffery) of Nottingham, NH, Megan Katz of Charlotte, NC, and Ryann Katz of NC.

"Poppy" will also be missed by his great-grandchildren, Liam and Zander Conlin, Brayden Miller, and Hunter Burnheimer.

He is also survived by his sister, Catherine Magee (John), and predeceased by his brother, Russell; and parents, Anna Marie and Joseph Leggio.

Joseph served in the US Army from 1951-1953 and achieved the rank of Supply Sergeant.  His time was spent in Alaska prior to its statehood as the 49th State.

He enjoyed working in retail for over 50 years, and rose from the role of sales clerk to sole proprietor of Young's Men's and Boy's clothing store, Brooklyn, NY.  He was talented in the art of "window dressing" and successful as a small business owner in the days before department stores.  In his leisure time he enjoyed being on the water - sailing or canoeing.

Along with Roberta, he enjoyed numerous vacations in the sun, and together they retired to Sun City West.  Among new friends, he enjoyed Club activities, Lawn Bowling and Bocce.  Enjoying the pleasures of an easier life, they moved to their new home at Fellowship Square, Surprise, AZ.
