Obituary of Harold Dean Mathieson

Harold D Mathieson, (87) of Laveen, Arizona passed away January 15, 2023.
Mr. Mathieson, who was also known as “ Buck” to his many family members and friends, was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He served four years in the USAF and received his training as Munitions Specialist.  He raised and raced greyhounds with his wife for many years.  He loved his family dearly. He loved fishing.  He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed!
Mr Mathieson was predeceased in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Allen Mathieson; his loving wife, Joyce Mathieson; and his 20 siblings.
Mr. Mathieson is survived by his four step children, Dave Colegrove of Phoenix, Susan Yarborough (Tim) of Glendale, Nellie Smart of Buckeye, and Wanda Prince(Jim) of Laveen; and he has many nieces and nephews who he adored dearly. There are also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Mr. Mathieson's family will host a graveside service at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona on Tuesday, January 30th, from 12:30 to 1:00pm.
