Obituary of George Stephen Sasenick, Jr.

Born May 26, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, and a longtime resident of Phoenix, joined the love of his life and wife of 60 years, Patricia, in the Eternal on February 3, 2024. He is survived by his children, Kathleen, Linda, Donna, Carol, and William, and his sister, Dolores (Sasenick) Smagatz. George was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean war, and lived his life fulfilling his childhood ambition, “to be a family man.” We will always be grateful for his unshakeable love.

Celebration of Life will be Sunday, February 25, 2024, 1-4pm at the Pickard/Sasenick residence, 10751 West Overlin Drive, Avondale, AZ 85323.  Graveside Service for internment of George and Patricia Sasenick will be Monday, February 26, 2024, 10:00am at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of George Sasenick's memory.
