Obituary of Donald Eugene McPeak

McPeak, Donald Eugene, aged 88, died on Saturday, March 23, 2024. He is the beloved husband of Elaine McPeak, who preceded him in death. He is the loving father of Diane Sorden and Denise Pryde (Gary), adoring grandfather of Tyler (Amy), Austin and Adam Pryde, Stephen and Clarissa Sorden, and great-grandfather of Frankie and Waylon Pryde. Don was born in East Liverpool, Ohio and grew up in Beaver, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Beaver Falls High School and then attended Indiana State Teachers’ College. Following graduation, he was drafted into the army and served with the 4th Armored Division in Erlangen, Germany. After serving his country, Don began a long and varied career in education, earning advanced degrees in both History and School Counseling. He retired from Agua Fria High School after thirty years of administration, teaching, counseling and coaching. Following his retirement in 1993, Don and Elaine moved to Sun City West where they traveled, grew their family and got involved in a variety of community activities.
